Alice at 11 Months

Everyone, just take a moment to think about this…Alice will a year old next month! How is the POSSIBLE?! Wasn’t she just my teeny-tiny NICU baby? She’s grown up so much in the past month, and I am more enamored and proud of her every single day!

Bubs, Cook, Cookie, Bestie, and I’ve recently turned “Bubs” into “Bug” and “Buggy” a la Becca and Kate from This is Us.

For the most part, Alice is in 12 month clothing, but she still fits a few of her 9 month items and some 18 month things. It just makes me think about how she was SWIMMING in her newborn clothes when she was born, and we had to go out and buy preemie things!

After a ROUGH month, the past week has been a welcome change. I finally went back to The Happy Sleeper, and while Alice still wakes up a couple times during the night, she typically goes right back to sleep. And one night, she slept for 8 hours straight! It was AMAZING!

She’s still a huge fan of dogs, Sesame Street, french fries, puffs and pureed pears. Recently, she’s been branching out into other foods and has discovered that she likes pancakes, waffles, pizza, watermelon and bacon lol. She’s a huge fan of “lift the flap” and “touch and feel” books, especially the “That’s Not My” series from Usborne. And if she’s fussy, then the Farmees YouTube videos calm her down.

Being put in her crib to sleep, lol, but she’s happy to play in it when she’s awake! She recently decided that she doesn’t like having her clothes or diaper changed, so I’ve been really putting on a show to try to keep her entertained while on the changing table.

New Words:

Duck and finally MAMA!!!

New Milestones:

Baby girl now has 2 teeth! She also is scooting around like crazy, and I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s walking soon!

Alice, I can’t imagine my life without you. I love you so much, and I have loved watching you grow!
