Happy Friday everyone! I’m going to go ahead and say it…it’s been a crap week. So you better believe that I’m happy for it to be Friday and for the week to start anew after what is sure to be a fun weekend. Here’s my favorites for the week:
Several bloggers from the McKinney area posted about this brave little boy last week, and I wanted to do all I could to help. At 3 years old, Holt is battling cancer, and he has a long road ahead of him. His mother is about to have their second child in a couple of months, and they’re living on a one-parent income right now, which is not enough to help with all of the medical costs. Please pray for this family–I know I am!
A Lovely Teacher
Part of what made this week so tough is that Alice has been sick. She was diagnosed with a double ear infection (her third ear infection in a month) on Friday, and she caught a stomach bug on top of it starting Saturday night. This meant that Alice was out of school for several days, but when she finally was able to return on Wednesday, her face lit up when she saw her teacher. And her teacher said the sweetest words that I could hear, “I’m so glad you’re back. I missed you!”
Ruth Bader Parekh-Schmidt
C and I have finally gotten around to watching the final season of New Girl, and my goodness, nothing could have prepared me for the adorable overload that is Schmidt and Cece’s daughter, Ruth. Sometimes, a kid can ruin the dynamic of a show, but I think she is just hysterical.
Have a great weekend folks! Eat a ton of candy corn now to prepare your stomach for Halloween candy later!
